Where we’re at

The new contractor declined. So, we have scaled back a lot of what we wanted to do prior to opening. It’s basically flooring, painting and furniture. Flooring is essentially done. Almost all the furniture has been delivered. The only thing left is the reception desk. Painting is the largest task.

Painting. There’s a lot to paint. And there have been a ton of fixes needed for the drywall. Most have been addressed and we started painting the treatment rooms yesterday. We are putting a light color on various previous colors, so it’ll take 2-3 coats. I’m hoping we can start on the hallway, bathroom and kitchenette today as well. The remaining drywall work is in the lobby, as is the last of the flooring work. Maybe the drywall will be finished today. Maybe not. The flooring folks will be back on Wednesday.

We have a Google Business and Yelp profiles up. We’re hoping to start November 2nd, but we’ll see. The last piece of licensing is the Virginia Health Dept. license. We are waiting on our background checks. No idea of when that will arrive.
